Banana tree

To make a banana tree out of beads we need:
- seed beads #10: green, yellow, brown (I actually used brown beads of a larger size, but recommend to use only one size for all colors);
- wire 0.3 mm in diameter.

First, we should make leaves of banana tree in the technique of parallel weaving. For each leaf take a wire of 70 cm in length and use only green beads.
These leaves are of three different sizes.

For small-sized leaves adhere to the following scheme:
1st row: 1 bead;
2nd row: 2 beads;
3rd row: 3 beads;
4th row: 4 beads;
5th row: 5 beads;
6th row: 4 beads;
7th row: 3 beads;
8th row: 2 beads;
9th row: 1 bead.

We need to make 4 such small leaves.

For medium-sized leaves adhere to the following scheme:
1st row: 1 bead;
2nd row: 2 beads;
3rd row: 2 beads;
4th row: 3 beads;
5th row: 3 beads;
6th row: 4 beads;
7th row: 4 beads;
8th row: 5 beads;
9th row: 5 beads;
10th row: 6 beads;
11th row: 6 beads;
12th row: 5 beads;
13th row: 5 beads;
14th row: 4 beads;
15th row: 4 beads;
16th row: 3 beads;
17th row: 3 beads;
18th row: 2 beads;
19th row: 2 beads;
20th row: 1 bead.

We need to make 4 such medium-sized leaves.

For large-sized leaves adhere to the following scheme:
1st row: 1 bead;
2nd row: 2 beads;
3rd row: 2 beads;
4th row: 3 beads;
5th row: 3 beads;
6th row: 4 beads;
7th row: 4 beads;
8th row: 5 beads;
9th row: 5 beads;
10th row: 6 beads;
11th row: 6 beads;
12th row: 7 beads;
13th row: 7 beads;
14th row: 6 beads;
15th row: 6 beads;
16th row: 5 beads;
17th row: 5 beads;
18th row: 4 beads;
19th row: 4 beads;
20th row: 3 beads;
21st row: 3 beads;
22nd row: 2 beads;
23rd row: 2 beads;
24th row: 1 bead.

We need to make 5 such large leaves.

Then we make banana bunch out of yellow beads. Take two pieces of wire of 30 cm in length each. Pass both pieces of wire through one yellow bead. Place the bead on the middle of the wires.

Take 40 beads and string each 10 beads onto every end of the wires.

Take one more yellow bead and string it onto one wire.

Then pass the other 3 wires through this bead.

Pull the wires tight. We've got bunch of bananas.

You can make as many such banana bunches as you wish. I made 3 and binded them together.

Let's assemble the banana tree. To increase strength of the trunk take one more piece of wire of 50 cm in length, bend it in the middle and fasten it to the large leaf.

Then twist together all the large leaves.

Then take the medium-sized leaves and attach them one by one to the trunk placing them in a circle a little below the previous series of leaves.

A little below attach to the trunk the smallest leaves.

After that fasten to the tree the bunches of bananas.

Then we need to braid the trunk by brown beads. Take a long wire and fasten it to the tree near the bananas. String many brown beads onto the wire and wind it round the trunk from top to bottom, adding more beads when necessary.

At the bottom of the trunk twist together all the wires and carefully cut the excess wires off.

Banana tree is ready! Put it into a suitable stand and straighten the leaves.
