Snowman in brick stitch

Snowman beaded in brick stitch

Today we will make one more beaded product of “winter” series - a snowman. It is a simple product that can be made rather quickly if you have some experience of weaving in brick stitch. This snowman, for example, can be used as a Christmas decoration.
We will need:
- seed beads of six colors; I used the seed beads #8 of white, green, brown, blue, orange and black colors,
- nylon line 0.25 mm in diameter and two needles for weaving (as usual, you can do with only one needle).

As I have already mentioned for beading we will use the technique of brick stitch.
I remind you that the basics of brick stitch weaving technique you can study from this, this and this tutorials.

For weaving you need a nylon line of 1.5 m in length. Start weaving the first row on the middle of the line because for weaving will be used the both ends of the line.

The weaving pattern is provided below. Next we consider all the steps of weaving in detail.

Step 1.
For the first row choose a row with the largest quantity of beads; it is the center row. For this row use the technique of parallel weaving and weave a single chain consisting of 16 seed beads in the following sequence: 2 white, 1 blue, 1 white, 1 blue, 1 white, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 white, 2 orange, 1 white and 4 green.

Step 2.
At the beginning of the row string 1 green bead and then continue one by one in the following sequence: 2 green, 1 white, 1 black, 2 white, 4 green and 4 white.

Step 3.
At the beginning of the row string 2 white beads at once and then continue stringing beads one by one in the following sequence: 2 white, 5 green, 3 white and 2 green.

At the beginning of the each next row string only one bead and then continue stringing beads one by one in the listed sequence.

Step 4.
1 green, 3 white, 2 green and 7 white beads.

Step 5.
3 white, 1 brown, 1 white, 1 brown, 1 white and 1 green beads.

Then skip one bead, passing the line through the beads that lie below in the previous row: first through the green bead, and then through the white bead.

Step 6.
2 white and 1 green beads.

Pass the line through the beads so that it came out from the nearest brown bead of the 5th row (it is the 6th bead in the 5th row if we count from the beginning of the row).

Step 7.
2 brown and 3 white beads. The direction of weaving is away from the snowman's head.

Pass the line through the beads so that it came out from the penultimate bead of the current row.

Step 8.
String 2 brown beads one by one.

Weaving of the first half of the snowman is completed. Fix the line that was used for weaving.
Then start weaving the second half of the snowman using the other end of the original line that comes out from the 1st row.
The second half is the same as the first one, so just successively repeat the Steps from 2 to 8 and after that fix the line.

The beaded snowman is finished!

P.S. Remind you that there is another snowman at our site. Be sure to try make it too!
