Small Christmas wreath

Small beaded Christmas wreath

Today we will make an easy-to-make Christmas decoration - a small Christmas wreath out of seed beads, bugle beads and wire.

We will need:
- bugle beads size 3 of green color;
- seed beads size 8 of three colors: green, red and yellow;
- wire 0.2 mm thick.

Take a wire of 100 cm in length and string onto it 1 yellow seed bead and 1 bugle bead, then repeat this set three more times, then string 1 red seed bead and 1 bugle bead, then again 1 yellow seed bead and 1 bugle bead, then again 1 red seed bead and 1 bugle bead and at last a set of 1 yellow seed bead and 1 bugle bead three more times. In overall there are 10 seed beads (8 yellow and 2 red) and 10 bugle beads strung on the wire at now.

Take the end of the wire from the side of the last bugle bead and pass it through the extreme seed bead from the other end of the wire.

Tighten the wire trying its ends to be of different length and the shorter end of the wire to be about 25 cm in length. We've got the circle of seed beads and bugle beads, it is the inner circle of the wreath.

For further weaving use the longer end of the wire. We will need the shorter end of the wire later, at the final stage of weaving.
String onto the longer end of the wire 1 bugle bead, 1 yellow seed bead and 1 more bugle bead

and pass this end of the wire through the closest yellow seed bead in the circle of seed beads and bugle beads.

Tighten the wire - we've got a triangle over the circle.

Then make such triangles along the whole circle. At the each step string onto the wire 1 bugle bead, 1 yellow seed bead and 1 more bugle bead.

After that lead this end of the wire to the outer limit of the wreath by passing it through a bugle and a seed bead in the vertex of the 1st triangle.

Next, between the each pair of seed beads in the vertices of triangles add new segments of beads, consisting of 1 bugle bead, 1 yellow seed bead and 1 more bugle bead.

So, step by step make the whole outer boundary of the wreath.

The base of the wreath is finished. Next, inside this base, between the seed beads in the side vertices of the resulting rhombuses we should add segments of 4 green beads.

So add such segments of 4 green beads in the rhombuses along almost the entire circumference of the wreath,

except the very last rhombus.

We don't need the end of the wire that was used for weaving anymore, so fix it and trim it off.

Continue weaving using the other end of the wire. String onto it 4 green seed beads and pass it through the upper seed bead of the last rhombus.

Then string onto the wire 29 green beads and pass it from the reverse side through the yellow seed bead from which this wire is coming out at the moment.

Next, pass the wire backwards through the 4 green seed beads in the last rhombus,

and further through the yellow seed bead in the base of this rhombus (from its reverse side, compared to the side from which the wire came out initially).

Then string onto the wire 13 red seed beads and pass it through the red seed bead in the inner circle of the wreath (that is closest in the direction in which the wire is pointed).

After that string onto the wire 8 red seed beads and pass it through the other red seed bead in the inner circle of the wreath.

At last, string onto the wire 13 more red seed beads and pass it through the yellow seed bead of the last rhombus in the inner circle of the wreath.

Now fix and trim off the excess wire.
Then bend a little the segments of red beads, giving them the shape of a bell.
The Christmas wreath is finished!
