Beaded cherries

Cherries out of seed beads and round beads

Today we will make beaded cherries. You can use these cherries as a decoration or as a keychain.
We will need:
- two 8 mm round beads (preferably of red or cherry color);
- size 10 czech seed beads of green and cherry colors;
- thin nylon fishing line (0,2 mm in diameter) and a beading needle.

At first, cover two round beads with seed beads of cherry color. Use the technique of making beaded beads that we learned in our previous tutorial.

For the 1st beaded bead take a line of 80 cm long and cut off the line after beading. We will use this beaded bead at the final stage of our beadwork, so set it aside for a while.

For the 2nd beaded bead take a line of 100 cm long and after covering that round bead with seed beads continue beading on this line.

String onto the line one seed bead of cherry color

and pass the needle through the nearest hole of the round bead.

Pull the line. That seed bead has covered the round bead’s hole.

Then string 20 green seed bead

and, holding the last added seed bead, pass the needle backwards through the next 4 seed beads.

Tighten the line. We’ve got the stem of the berry.

Next, make the leaf. String onto the line 22 green seed beads,

then hold the last added seed bead and pass the needle backwards through the next seed bead

and tighten the line.

After that string onto the line 20 green seed beads

and then pass the needle through the first 22 seed beads of the leaf in direction from the stem.

Pull the line. At now it comes out from the tip of the leaf.

Hold the bead at the tip of the leaf and pass the needle through all the other beads of the leaf in direction to the stem.

Then pull the line.

Next, string onto the line 15 green seed beads. They will form the stem of the other cherry.

Now take the other beaded bead and pass the needle through its hole.

Then string onto the line one seed bead of cherry color

and pass the needle backwards through the hole of the beaded bead.

Pull the line. The beaded bead has been attached to the stem.

At last, secure the line. Pass the needle one or two times through the rows of seed beads which cover the round bead and through the round bead’s hole. Then cut off the excess line.

The beaded cherries are finished!
