To make the beaded bellflower you will need:
- seed beads #11: blue (you can also take light blue or lilac-colored beads), white, yellow and green,
- wire 0.2 mm in diameter,
- green thread for the winding of stems.
I wove some flowers out of blue beads and the others out of lilac-colored beads. So the bouquet of flowers has turned out more bright.
We should make the petals first. For an example I'll use the beads of lilac and white colors.
Each flower has five petals. For each petal take a wire of 40 cm in length.
For the first petal use the parallel weaving technique and the following scheme:
1st row: 1 lilac bead;
2nd row: 2 lilac beads;
rows from 3rd to 6th are identical: take 1 lilac, 1 white and 1 lilac beads;
7th row: 2 white beads;
8th row: 1 white bead.
The beginning for the remaining four petals is the same, but we do only the first 3 rows in the each petal. The rest rows in these petals we will add while plaiting the petals to the resulting flower.
Once we wove the 3rd row in the second petal, start to plait this petal in the first petal.
To do this, pass one wire of the second petal between the third and the fourth rows of the first petal.
Then weave the fourth row of the second petal. It consist of one lilac bead, one white bead and one more lilac bead.
After that once again plait the wire of the second petal in the first petal: pass it between the fourth and the fifth rows of the first petal.
In this way we continue weaving the other rows of the second petal till the end. The number and color of the beads in the rows are exactly the same as in the first petal.
In the same way we plait in one after another the third and fourth petals.
We've got unused the last petal. It has only 3 rows at now. We should plait this petal in the flower between the first and fourth petals. Pass one wire of the 5th petal between the third and the fourth rows at a free side of the first petal. The other wire of the 5th petal pass between the third and the fourth rows at a free side of the fourth petal.
Then weave the fourth row of the fifth petal.
After that once again plait the wires of the fifth petal in the adjacent petals: pass them between the fourth and the fifth rows of each adjacent petal.
Continue weaving in the same way until we complete the 8th row of beads in this petal. The ends of the wire should be kept untwisted.
Now we've got a bud, it is a basis of the flower.
Now we will make stamens. Take a wire of 25 cm in length and string 1 yellow bead onto it, placing the bead on the middle of the wire.
Twist together the wires for about 1.5 cm from the bead.
String one more yellow bead onto one of the wires and place it at a distance of 1.5 cm from the end of previous twist. After that, holding the bead, once again twist the wires from the bead till the end of previous twist. Repeat this process with the other end of the wire - at now we've got a stamen out of 3 beads.
Take the stamen and insert it into the flower.
Then twist together all the wires below the flower.
The bud is ready.
Now we will make sepals out of green beads. For each sepal take a wire of 30 cm in length and use the technique of parallel weaving:
1st row: 1 bead;
2nd row: 2 beads;
rows from 3 to 5 are the same: 3 beads;
6th row: 2 beads;
7th row: 1 bead.
For a single flower we make three such sepals.
Then we need to fasten these sepals to the flower. Twist them to the flower's wires one by one, placing them in a circle just below the bud.
The flower is almost ready. In order to collect a bouquet of bells we need to make several such flowers. I made five.
The last parts of the flower we need to make are the leaves. We make them out of green beads using a wire of 20 cm in length for the each one. As usual we use the technique of parallel weaving and adhere to the following scheme:
1st row: 1 bead;
2nd row: 2 beads;
rows from 3 to 8 are the same: 3 beads;
9th row: 2 beads;
10th row: 1 bead.
For a single flower I made one such a leaf, i.e. five leaves for a bouquet of five flowers.
Complete the assembly of flowers. Take a green thread and wind it round the stem below the bud for the length of about 3-4 cm.
Then fasten the leaf closely to the stem of the flower
and continue winding the stem by a green thread.
In the same way assemble all the other flowers.
And then collect them into a bouquet. To keep the bouquet from falling apart bind all the flowers together by a green thread at the bottom of the stems.
Now trim the excess wires and put the flowers into a vase. The bouquet of bellflowers is ready!
P.S. Once again I beg a pardon for my poor English as this language is not my native.
